Tara holds Mum’s hand as they stop back from the kerb at a pedestrian crossing, with Pip safely nearby.

Tara and Mum walked to the park, with Pip fluttering nearby. Tara held Mum’s hand. At the pedestrian crossing, they stopped one step back from the kerb. Grown-up: play this screen story together. On real roads, hold your child’s hand and choose and check the crossing yourself.

Talk together: Say “stop”. Show a stop gesture while staying where you are.

Page 2

Tara and Mum hold hands and look along the road for traffic in both directions while Pip turns his head.

“Now we look,” said Mum. Together they looked both ways and watched for moving traffic, including turning cars. Pip turned his little head too. “My eyes are on the road, not on that lovely cloud!”

Talk together: Say “look”. Why do Mum and Tara keep looking both ways?

Page 3

Tara and Mum stay back from the kerb, holding hands and listening for a car while continuing to watch the road.

“We listen as well,” said Mum. Tara heard a car approaching. Pip stopped his song to listen. “Even a quiet road needs looking and listening,” Mum reminded them. They stayed safely back, still holding hands.

Talk together: Say “listen”. Sound can help, and we still need to look.

No. You can start as a guest. Guest progress stays on the current device. An optional adult account with child profiles can save future practice across devices; guest progress is separate from those profiles.

Which languages are supported?

Recorded English narration is available for selected stories; Hindi narration is not available.

Which age range should we choose?

Start with ages 3–5, 6–8 or 9–12 according to your child’s interests and confidence. Age ranges are guides. Younger children need a grown-up to read prompts, and older English beginners can use adult reading help too.
