Page 1

Little lime-green Triceratops Tilly walks beside her large sage-green mother on a sunny forest path; each has two brow horns and one nose horn.

Tilly was little. Mum was big. “Let’s find some leaves,” said Mum. Step, step, step! Tilly walked beside her.

Talk together: Find little Tilly and big Mum. Say “little” and “big” together.

Page 2

Tilly stops on dry ground beside a broad shallow puddle while Mum waits behind her; a golden leaf floats on the right.

A puddle covered the path. Tilly stopped. “That is a big puddle,” she said. A gold leaf floated on the water.

Talk together: Point to the water, then the floating leaf. What might Tilly do next?

Page 3

Tilly lifts one front foot above dry sand near the puddle; small footprints cross the foreground and Mum watches nearby.

Tilly lifted one little foot. She put it down on the dry ground. The puddle was still wide. “I need help,” she said.

Talk together: Find Tilly’s lifted foot. Walk two fingers slowly on your palm. Say “one little step.”
