Snoozo the little koala naps in the window nook of his family’s leafy jungle home.

Deep in Drowsy Jungle, Snoozo the koala hugged his moon cushion. The sun was up. Snoozo was not. “One more little snooze,” he whispered.

Talk together: Make a sleepy face together. Grown-up: model “I am sleepy.” Your child can point, act or say the words.

Zippy taps a wooden bowl while her sleepy brother Snoozo peeks up from his nap.

Tap, tap, TAP! Zippy was making breakfast music with a bowl. Snoozo opened one eye. “Good morning, big brother!” she sang. “Very good,” he mumbled.

Talk together: Tap your knees softly three times. Say “Tap, tap, tap!” Then wave and say “Good morning!”

Dad Moss drops some spoons with a clatter as Snoozo and Zippy look on.

Clink, clatter, CLANG! Dad Moss dropped the spoons. “Oops! My spoons are dancing.” Snoozo opened his other eye. This morning had far too many sounds.

Talk together: Point to the spoons. Grown-up: say “That is loud.” Try a pretend clang with your voice at a comfortable volume.
