CREATIVE ACTIVITY

A small challenge to try

Use the prompts to make or explain your own idea.

Start here: Invent a fictional family meal or play plan. Draw or talk first, then write one idea in any box; an adult can help. Give every person a choice. Include safe hands, support for big feelings and help without pressure to eat, hug or apologise. There is more than one useful plan.

Ideas to explore

  • Choose a job: What can each person try, and which practical help could they ask for?
  • Plan a pause: Write the words someone could use to keep hands safe and ask a trusted adult to stay nearby.
  • Leave room for change: How could the family listen to two ideas and repair a spill or changed plan together?
  • Make the meal comfortable: How will people sit, try feeding themselves, ask for help and say they have had enough?

Say it together

My feelings are allowed. My hands stay safe. I can ask for help and make room for another idea.
